About Paul Elchaar
As a young 15 year old Paul began his apprenticeship and by 1986 he had opened his first salon The Cutting Crew at Wollongong University. Paul then went on to own another 4 salons before reaching his utopia PureHairPureBody in 2005. For Paul this was his ultimate goal.``It was a bench mark for us. A dream that become a reality,'' Paul said.
PureHairPureBody is all about bringing the typical city day spa to the Hills. ``We wanted to create the feel of a high class city salon and spa and bring it to your own backyard and we have achieved that,'' Paul said ``You can come here and get quality treatments and service and the results you wanted for a fraction of the price and without having to go all the way into the city.'' PureHairPureBody gives you the total package from head to toe and Paul is convinced that the best is still yet to come. ``We will continue to improve and expand our products, environment and service.''
Paul's success is largely due to the support of his family. His wife Paula and brother Peter have been an essential and important part of his journey. ``He is one the most amazing people I've ever met,'' Paula said. ``Paul is laid back, understanding, talented and focused.'' For his brother Peter their journey has been developing all their lives. ``Paul is so inspiring. He is passionate, strong willed, fun loving and diligent,'' Peter said. Paul's positive and passionate attitude is what keeps him striving for more and has been a big part of his success.
Paul is keen on developing the next generation of hairdressers by teaching at TAFE and he is also the head educator of Racoon Hair Extensions Australia wide.
Paul has travelled the world to gain tips on trends, styles and techniques and worked with celebrities. But for Paul every client is a celebrity and should be treated as one. ``I want everyone to leave the salon feeling like they are famous. I want them to feel good about themselves and look and feel gorgeous inside and out.'' For Paul Elchaar hairdressing is "not just a job it's a hobby".
